Exegesis

First of all for my web presence I chose as central node a blog which has being constructed using Blogger. I prefer a blog because of his facilities of sharing information to users.
Moreover, a blog is a friendly place where people can share photos, videos and so on about their interest, opinions and views instead of a website which could be more formal than the blog.
I decide to build a blog on a topic which inspire me, Fashion especially on the Parisian style. This style inspires me completely; firstly it refers me to a famous fashion icon who is Audrey Hepburn, the incarnation of the elegance and the beauty.
Secondly, this style is related to Paris and that is the best argument that I could talk about. This city is known such as the most beautiful city in the world thanks to his culture, famous monuments and for me for his original and classic style. Finally, I discover this style some months back it instantly impress me according to their sophistication in matters of fashion and their attitude in society.
Through this exegesis I will talk in the first part about how I build this blog and why I chose these templates, layout and other features of a blog. In the second part I will discuss about my contributing nodes and in what ways it helps me engaged with the ideas in this unit.

Firstly, I chose a blog because it is really common and that it could take different forms such as personal blogs, microblogs, corporate blogs, photoblogs and podcast (Leaver, 2012).
My blog is considered as a personal blog. In fact, I post my point of view about a specific topic. Relate to my theme “Parisian style” it seems more appropriate choosing this type of blog because it could be view as diary.
Concerning my template of my blog I decide to present something simple but elegant which represent exactly how I perceive my topic. My template is in neutral color like beige, brown and a little bit of orange to catch the eye.
I put the title in shades of cream to match with the template and mainly because it is not aggressive color such as the red. In the left of the template there are birds flying. They do not represent exactly fashion but shows what it represents for me. These birds represent freedom and I believe that fashion is in a way freedom for people.
The fact is that fashion is invented by anyone; there are many ways to express our self. In addition, for my layout I dispose my blog in form to facilitate users to shift pages to pages. I think that my blog is welcoming and attractive with a simple and elegant set up.
Therefore, I present some main pages such as ‘About me’ which includes my personal profile and a brief introduction of my topic. Then there is some posts relate to my topic such as photography of famous icon mode or events which happen in France about fashion. It has to be interesting and easy to understand to be an attractive blog.

Secondly, relate to my blog I chose three contributing nodes which permit people get an overview about which appears on my blog. It is important to get several contributing nodes to share information and other features about my topic and to have a large audience.
For my first contributing nodes, I chose Facebook because it is the most famous social networking until today. “Facebook users can create and customize their own profiles with photos, videos, and information about themselves.” (Techterm, 2008)
Facebook had been created to permits people keep in touch and share information, photos and videos. I think that it is a good choice of contributing nodes, through this social networking I can express myself and share my passion with users. Moreover, Facebook offer many options for my web presence. For instance, I create a page on my topic to inform and entertain people through articles, videos and photos. For my second contributing nodes I decide to create an account on Twitter. Another social networking which is really used by journalists to get important information and gossips. Therefore, there is an advantage on Twitter. To post information it is really simple, fast and people could comment and like automatically.
Furthermore, I decide to choose it because it is easy to get followers and to be active through my account.

Finally, for my last contributing nodes I decided to create a website on Wix. Thanks to the Web 2.0 nowadays it is possible to create our own webpages and large numbers of people can shape the nature of the web through collaboration. (Leaver, 2012) This site permits me create a website with photos and presented it in relation with my personality.
For my website, I focused on the style of this one. The style is mainly simple and classical because for me the Parisian style represent these two terms. The main page is blue, grey and white. The grey and white are neutral colors so I take the blue color to prettify the website.
Therefore, the theme of the main page should be considered such as a school style with paper and brackets. My website present only photos and some description of outfits of French celebrities such as Ines de la Fressange and Nine de la Fressange. I want a slight website because it is more attractive for visitors see photo parades than long articles.

To conclude, it seems to me interesting and benefit by choosing these four nodes.  The website and blog present many similarities but do not offer the same way of communication. According to my Facebook page and Twitter account, I think it is interesting creating a web presence where people could comment and collaborate together.
A web presence help people getting profile online which encouraged users participate and collaborate. In this case, it will help share my passion through photos, articles and comments.
